Garvald Edinburgh is a Scottish charity offering creative opportunities and support for people with learning disabilities since 1969. We currently support 140 people with learning disabilities through training workshops where craft, catering and artistic skills are learned, as well as accommodation through supported tenancies and community housing. Many of the people we support have multiple disabilities and additional needs, requiring one-to-one support. Our work is inspired by the ideas of Rudolf Steiner - of key importance is the recognition of the unique contribution each person makes to the wider community whatever their apparent disability.
