From 13-19 September 2010, Remember A Charity Week saw over 140 of the UK's favourite charities come together to highlight the importance of gifts left to charities in wills.
The week was fronted by the 'Legacies Through a Lens' photography exhibition, held at the OXO Gallery in London. The exhibition, which was open to the public all week, included photographs taken by Dame Judi Dench, Mario Testino, Gordon Ramsay and Alexandra Burke. Each image reflected the impact that charitable gifts can make to charities across the nation.
Last year's week also saw the introduction of new branded materials including teabags and window vinyls. Charities up and down the country used these mayerials to organise activities throughout the week. Guide Dogs held tea parties in their centres across the UK, whilst The Wildlife Trusts raised awareness through its nature reserves, visitor centres and offices nationwide.
The week came to a close at the Great North Run in Newcastle, where charities served cups of Remember A Charity tea to their runners and supporters.
