Give Green Canada
Give Green Canada, ("G2”) formerly Green Legacies, is a project housed at Tides Canada Initiatives that works with environmental and conservation groups (eNGO’s) across the country. G2 provides unique online tools and training at no cost and offers the first-ever distance learning course in the world designed especially for eNGO’s.
"Give Green Canada’s TOOLKIT is the best publicly accessible source of information on ecological gifts and planned gifts in Canada. It is a terrific resource for environmental charities to become educated about gift planning. The content is clear and well presented, and the course has excellent links to quality external resources." Malcolm Burrows, Head, Philanthropic Advisory Services, Scotiabank.
Give Green Canada’s director, Natasha van Bentum, CFRE, also coaches staff and board members at eNGO’s through G2’s mentorship program, made possible by Give Green’s funders.
G2 also provides web-based resources for donors on gifting options, and makes available vital tools for professional advisors who work with green clients or potential clients. Give Green Canada recently launched a French counterpart, “Patrimoine vert”, officially opening in late 2011/early 2012.
