Brain Tumour Support
29A High Street, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, BS35 2AR
Brain Tumour Support is dedicated to giving specialist help to families facing the often life-changing impact of a brain tumour diagnosis, with the aim that no one is left feeling alone and isolated in their experience. The range of services is not just for patients, but also their loved ones and carers, and is offered for as long as it is needed.
Support is individual and holistic in approach and includes practical guidance, emotional support, information about treatment, help coping with bereavement and much more. As well as online, one-to-one support and specialist counselling, the charity also runs monthly support groups in local areas from Cornwall to Staffordshire, which prove to be a lifeline for many.
Brain Tumour Support relies completely on voluntary donations and needs to raise at least £600,000 to meet the growing demand for its services.
With more than 16,000 people in the UK diagnosed with a brain tumour every year, legacies are vital to not only maintain but also expand the range and reach of support in order to meet an ever-growing demand for the charity’s help.
