Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust strives to save the most threatened species in the most threatened places around the world. Biodiversity is essential for human survival and our aim is to ensure our wildlife park, field programmes and conservation academy come together to deliver a unique approach to tackling today’s conservation problems. With skills developed within each area they allow us to stop declines of threatened species in the short term, as well as building necessary skills and capacity to protect species and habitats in the long term.

Our conservation programmes are moving species away from the threat of extinction. Indeed, without our conservation efforts some animals would almost certainly have gone extinct.

We’d like to think that our founder, author and naturalist, Gerald Durrell would be enormously proud of his legacy, and that the achievements we continue to make – often against the odds – are done under the proud banner of his name. With your help we can continue to save even more species from extinction.
