Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with over 1.5 million people living with it and around 300 more diagnosed every day.

There is no cure.

Macular disease is set to be the next public health crisis. The extent of this problem is huge – far more people live with macular disease than with dementia.

Macular disease is cruel and isolating, it steals your sight, your confidence and your ability to do the things you love.

The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.

Kelly, a 37 year old mother has macular disease and so do two of her three boys. Their dream is to be a pilot like their father – for two of the boys this dream will never become a reality.

Unless we tackle this devastating disease now.

There is only one way to beat macular disease for good. We must fund more research until we find a cure or find treatments that stop it in its tracks.

Because when we invest in research today we can and will beat macular disease for the next generation. When we achieve that, no one will have the life they love stolen from them by sight loss.

You can make sure that ours will be the last generation to suffer the devastation of sight loss. Ours will be the last generation missing out on our children’s and grandchildren’s smiles.

Make your legacy a world without macular disease by leaving a gift in your will.

We don’t expect to receive your legacy for a very long time, but it will really help us to bring about an end to macular disease for future generations.

On their behalf, thank you so much.
