National Star supports young people with complex physical and learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and associated medical needs. Disabilities include cerebral palsy, sensory impairments, acquired brain injuries, autism, and profound and multiple learning disabilities.

We provide a range of specialist learning programmes, therapies, residential accommodation, and respite care. Goals and aspirations are wide ranging, from learning how to use a communication device to gaining the freedom of independent mobility by learning to drive an electric wheelchair. All learn crucial life skills, and develop their confidence.

Andy, Kyle’s dad: “When I think back to how things were and how he had been written off after his accident, and then I look at him now, it’s absolutely amazing. Coming to National Star has transformed Kyle’s life.”

Paulette, Jon’s mum: “Thanks to the physiotherapy he received at National Star, Jon can walk a few steps on his own. Thanks to the speech and language therapy he can communicate and make choices for himself. National Star is a very special place that we’d be lost without.”

A gift in your Will can help us ensure we are there to support future generations of young people with complex disabilities like Andy and Jon. Thank you.
