We support museums and galleries to ensure people in every corner of the UK can access brilliant art.

Art Fund is the national charity for art. Since 1903 we have been funding the vital work of museums and galleries so that art can be a part of everyone’s lives.

Our work includes helping museums to acquire remarkable works of art, investing in the curatorial skills that bring them to life and sharing and touring museum collections so that they can reach as many people as possible.

Today our museum network includes over 850 museums of all types and sizes across the UK, from Aberdeen Art Gallery to The Holburne Museum in Bath to Ulster Museum in Belfast.

We receive no government funding so all our work is made possible by the generosity of our National Art Pass members, our individual and trusts and foundation donors, and those leaving us a legacy.

Legacy donations allow us to act swiftly and decisively to distribute vital grants to help museums and galleries. If you’re thinking of writing your will, you can help us to help art touch everyone. Be part of safeguarding the nation’s artistic future.
