Together, we can grow the legacy market
As a consortium of 200 charities, Remember A Charity brings the sector together to achieve what no organisation can do alone: raise awareness, influence policy and encourage professional advisers to make charitable giving a natural part of the Will-writing process.
People who are aware of Remember A Charity are twice as likely to have left a gift in their Will.*
Reaching and engaging the public
Our targeted consumer campaigns run throughout the year, peaking during Remember A Charity Week each September. In 2025, our consumer advertising reached 11.3 million people, helping inspire more people to consider leaving a gift to charity in their Will.
Embedding charitable giving in Will-writing
We work with leading legal firms and professional bodies to encourage charitable giving as a natural part of making a Will.
Through our Campaign Supporter scheme, more than 900 solicitor firms and Will-writers have committed to highlighting the option of leaving a charitable gift with their clients. We're also working with wealth advisers to reach and inspire high-net-worth supporters.
Protecting the future of legacy giving
We work with policymakers and government to protect vital tax reliefs on legacy giving and address issues such as probate delays.
Members receive exclusive updates on relevant policy developments and lobbying activity, helping them understand the issues affecting legacy income and contribute their voice to the wider conversation.
Why collaboration matters
"We have a unique opportunity to significantly grow the legacy market over the next few years, providing opportunities for all charities to generate significantly more income. We will only do this effectively, however, by collaborating and working together. Remember A Charity is the best place to do this."
Craig Fordham, Director of Public Fundraising, Macmillan Cancer Support
