Dogs Trust

Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Our mission is to help dogs when and where they need us most.

Here's what we do in a nutshell…

• Every year we care for thousands of dogs in need at our 22 rehoming centres and our network of foster carers around the UK.

• Our behaviour services help owners all over the UK build confidence, understanding, and more nurturing relationships with their dogs.

• Our FREEDOM Project helps pet owners who are fleeing domestic violence by fostering their animals while they start a new life.

• The Together Through Homelessness scheme supports dog owners who are experiencing homelessness stay with their faithful friend.

• We fight for a better future for dogs by lobbying the Government to change laws and by teaming up with like-minded organisations to influence and educate policy makers on welfare issues.

• Through our international work, and together with our sister charity WVS, we’re creating a better world for all dogs.

Dogs Trust relies completely on voluntary donations, with more than a third of our income coming from gifts in Wills.
