Eat Sleep Ride is a Scottish Borders charity offering second chances — to both horses and young people.
We rescue and rehabilitate horses who have been neglected, abandoned or at risk, and through them create safe, healing spaces for children, young people and families facing poverty, trauma and rural isolation.
Many of the young people we support feel unheard or overlooked — struggling with anxiety, neurodivergence, bereavement or involvement with justice services. Through structured equine-assisted learning and outdoor education, they find their voice, build confidence and develop real-life skills in leadership, responsibility and emotional resilience.
Working alongside rescued horses requires honesty, calmness and trust. In this shared space of recovery, young people learn that they matter — that their presence has impact, and that their future is not defined by their past.
