The Medical Research Foundation is the independent charitable foundation of the Medical Research Council (MRC). We give hope to people with overlooked health conditions, by supporting research in areas that are underfunded.
Many health conditions still impose a heavy burden on millions of people in the UK and around the world. History has shown us, time and again, that medical research is our most powerful tool for improving human health.
By leaving a gift in your Will to the Medical Research Foundation, you’ll help to change the future of medicine - supporting the research that future generations will depend on.
As a small medical research funder with a broad remit, we focus on underfunded areas of health where the need is great – whether that’s improving the lives of children and young people, addressing neglected areas of mental health, tackling the health impacts of climate change, or responding to emerging health threats.
We invest in the brightest and best researchers, ensuring the next generation of scientists can continue to solve the biggest challenges facing human health. But we can’t do it without you. Without your support, we would not exist, and we could not continue to fund life-changing, pioneering medical research.
Gifts in Wills are hugely important to the future of the Foundation and are the driving force behind the majority of the medical research we are able to fund.
