At PTES, we’ve been standing up for wildlife for nearly 50 years. With the help of scientists, conservationists, landowners, and the general public, we’re working to protect our delicately balanced ecosystem by bringing our most threatened species back from the brink.

Passion drives our work but it’s grounded in science. We invest in research and test the best ways to protect endangered species in their natural habitats. Then we put what works into action, creating vibrant wildlife havens.

We’re a team of 20 staff and five trustees, but our reach is far wider than this. Our wonderful volunteers give up their time to take part in our research, and we work alongside scientists, conservationists, landowners, government and the general public.

Together we’re bringing the wild back to life.

Over one third of our funding comes from kind bequests left to PTES and funds have supported projects on almost 300 threatened species around the world, in over 60 countries. Our vision is to build on those successes for all wildlife.
