Resonate: Creating Communities is simply about finding your pack or a community you can resonate with and feel part of. Which can be extremely hard for young people living in rural Dumfries & Galloway.
We are a small autism charity in southwest Scotland with big ambitions. We aim to create a more inclusive society for autistic people, where they can have more fulfilling, contributing and connected lives.
We aim to do this by providing; information and support; accommodation and housing; employability; social and learning opportunities in autism friendly environments.
Mental health, such as anxiety and depression can often go hand in hand with autism. A young person, may struggle to understand why life is so hard and friendships unfathomable, leading to feeling isolated & confused. We want to provide access to immediate mental health support, in our Old Police Station Project. Where we hope to create a hub of hope, healing and opportunities. The mental health support will be open to all young people in the community.
We believe young people are the future & we need to value & nourish them all.
Without gifts in wills our young people will get less access to counselling and peer groups. Your Legacy will help provide vital support services for vulnerable young people. It will help us to continue our work consistently, without the fear of a funding shortage.
