Whitburn Community Development Trust exists to strengthen our community by creating opportunities for people to connect, support one another and thrive. We are a local charity led by and for the people of Whitburn, working together to address the challenges we face and to build on the strengths of our town.
Our projects are diverse but share one clear purpose: improving the lives of local people. From providing access to good food through our Community Fridge and Larder, to tackling isolation with our Brunch Club and Walking Football, to helping people into advice and support through our Community Hub, everything we do is rooted in care for our neighbours. Our Community Garden and Friends of Polkemmet group also bring people together to learn new skills, protect our environment and enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of green space.
